I love Scrivener, but MAN…text selection on the ipad seems especially difficult.
Like more difficult than on other iOS apps.
I never know if I’m gonna select a word, a paragraph, three screens of text…and it just bounces around something awful.
Does anyone else experience this? And if so, do you have any tips to tame text selection?

Generally, I avoid selecting text directly with my fingers.
Typically I’m on a bluetooth keyboard, so I’ll use shift + arrow keys to select text, same as I would on the desktop version.
If I happen to be using the iOS on-screen keyboard, then I’ll use the text select button + arrow keys on Scrivener’s extended keyboard row.
I find doing it either of these ways is far easier than trying to select with fingers.

I found turning off typewriter scrolling got text selection working much more steadily. So if it’s on in your editor, try disabling it.
