Novel-in-a-Day 2: The Revenge

Hey piggy,
When you are sending out the parts, I am up and ready to go so can you make me one of the early ones?

Looking forward to it. First fiction writing since NIAD last year. I miss it.

Matt

Idle curiosity: How big a swath of the globe do the participants cover?

Clearly we have Americans (Coast to coast? I’m in a Boston suburb, so that takes care of the east) and Brits, but any Europeans or Asians? How about Aussies?

Isn’t Matt in Australia? (Or perhaps my memory is failing.)

From the UK, I see myself entirely as European. So, Asia or Africa, anyone? Or Antarctica?

In Antarctica, you have the advantage of rotating your desk to face a different time zone as it suits you.

Is it too late to emigrate before the show begins?

I am in the Mountain time zone not quite West coast but almost.

Aussie here, nervously watching for email…

I got my file! A whole minute early!

Off to play…

Everyone should now have received an email with their files.
You’ll know it’s the right one because the chapter file has your name on it.

If anyone hasn’t received their file, let me know. In fact, feel free to let me know you have received your file.

If anything is not clear - you’d like more info blahblah… you know where to find me.

Opening the docs as I type (Word is s_o_ s_l_o_w_…)

Just import the lot into a blank Scrivener project.

Um, where? Should we ask questions here, or in private messages?

Not that I have any questions. So far, anyway.

Lots of options!

or…

Just ask it here.

We have lift off!

That’s step 2, I wanted to print them first (I like to have a print outs scattered about my study so I look like I know what I’m doing*). Word seemed the obvious choice for printing…

*It doesn’t work, but I feel better.

Files received and looked through. Staring at blank page not worried at all that I have no clue how to begin. Same feeling as last year so I shall just begin and repair any damage on the read through.

Haven’t seen mine yet. :frowning:

Hey Pete, have re-emailed. Check your junk filter as well.

Tim,
I sent you an email to confirm something.

This one seems a lot harder to start than the last one. Not sure if I am in a different location than normal, or just that I feel I have far less grasp of the plot than would make me comfortable.

Oh well, fun times ahead.

Matt

PS - Has anyone seen any dinosaurs on the spaceship yet?
