Re: Simplenote Syncing Gone in Version 3.0?

I'm surprised no one else has posted about this as far as I can tell. . I am actually not surprised you are the first one to notice because Simplenote has become quite unreliable over the years and I think its user base is now limited. I used to use it and stopped using it a long time ago. I am not...

Re: Papers 3 citations working in Scrivener 3?

I would not hold my breath. There is a highlighting bug they have been aware of for months, still not ironed out. Lots of other little bugs. Still usable, but the feel is that there is not much support/development for the app at the moment

Re: Papers 3 citations working in Scrivener 3?

I had no idea that the fix that Papers support suggested was actually originally from this forum! :D It seems to me that that's another sign that the app may be on shaky grounds, for whatever internal reasons. I used to use Sente and for many years it went well. And then it became fundamentally unde...

Re: Papers 3 citations working in Scrivener 3?

There is a fix. But it does have a side effect. You won't be able to restart Papers. If you do need to restart Papers, for whatever reason, you first have to delete the line I'll tell you to add here. Mind you, I haven't tried it myself, but since it comes from Papers support, I doubt it won't work ...

Re: Butterfly Theme

This theme was created a while back, in response to this thread , but when that thread was active, the best I could have done was provided a few Scirvener 2 tips—which would have worked, but Scrivener 3 does all of this so much better! http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum_images/17333567-theme-b...

I heard that before! There are a few bugs in annotating and highlighting in Papers that should also be fixed by the long awaited update.

Re: Scrivener may cause MacOS crash when awaking

I do that all the time, on multiple machines, and it never crashes. I don't think it is Scrivener. Anyway, log reports to both Apple and L&L will clarify. If it's Scriv, it must be interacting with some other stuff running on your system

Re: High Sierra warning!

Been running betas of High Sierra since first public release, at least a couple of months ago, maybe more. Have three machines, one definitely completely SSD, one likely (but not totally sure!) and the oldest one much less likely (MBP 13" 1st gen, late 2012). Never had a problem of any kind

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

I got the Lexapro keyboard case for my iPad mini and I couldn't be more pleased. The battery lasts for a month and recharges fast, the case itself has saved my device several times, and I adapted to the smaller keyboard in about a minute :D Lexapro? The one I know is an SSRI used for depression :D ...

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

I have a Logitech for my Mini 2 retina, which is OK, but a little too small. Smaller than it needs to be. If you look it up, you'll see what I mean. What looks very good to me, although I haven't tried it, is the Brydge keyboard. It allows to use all the real estate of the keyboard and it's thin. Th...

I do the same, or something similar. You don't need a new feature in Scrivener, Scrivener already allows you to do that

Re: Quitter + Scrivener

Having returned to Scrivener, at long last, after a couple of years using Ulysses, I encountered only one small hiccup: the Don't Open A Project on Two Machines issue. Given that I work on two computers, one at home and one in my office, and given that I sometimes walk away from one or the other ma...

Re: MacBook Pro (retina): 2016 vs 2015—which to buy?

I have the earliest MBP 13" Retina and a MB 12". I still think the 13" is a great machine even if it is 4 years old, but I love the portability of the 12". I don't have the new MBP with touchbar, but I looked at it in an Apple Store and picked it up. It's so much lighter than my ...
