Sent! And in the nick of time too. Gosh, this was hard. Thing is, I got traction on the chapter barely two hours ago and so now I’m pumped but I’ve spent the day suffering for my art, as it were

I think I was three min to deadline when I sent mine. And then I worried my Scriv file had a problem so I sent again in rtf.
What a rush! I’m pretty happy with my chapter. 
I left some stuff that could be foreshadowing if the plot goes that way, but can just be written off as a “moment” if it doesn’t. Got rid of a body in a not so clever way. (Hopes no one checks the dumpster.) Threw in some French vulgarity as well as a curse in Italian–because I could.
Made hubby read it to just make sure I hadn’t rearranged something weirdly, leaving confusion.
THAT WAS AWESOME!!! Even if I did have vampires. (Super happy I got to kill one at least. )
Got some good bad jokes in there. hehehehe

I sent you my chapter about 5 minutes ago. Sorry it was a little bit late, but there were some French spellings I wanted to check.
I hope it’s okay as I sent you a rtf file and I wrote it all in Scrivener, except for the rough draft which I did longhand.
I’m looking forward to reading the finished books tomorrow and finding out what it was all about!

I am genuinely looking forward to your chapter. Granted, I’m expecting humor (bad “dad jokes” are a plus). So let me know now lest I be massively disappointed.

There are “dad” jokes buried in there but not as “dad jokes”. If you’ve raised a daughter then you will see them.
Think more along the lines of a columbo meets the mob in france. But no death and destruction. I had too much fun this time.
