I said at the time that I thought that the people who were going to find the transition to Scriv3 most difficult would be those like me who had got to grips with Compile under Scriv2 to produce documents exactly the way they wanted them, and who were going to have to learn a completely new system.

Scrivener now forces the use of styles. I suppose this is useful for those who want to go back and use styles in Microsoft Word. I don’t.
Even compiling to LaTeX requires the use of styles where LaTeX is and always has been plain text.
Compiling to Markdown gives you that same error message
