Question: is it not able to be updated via the updater yet? I get that everything is up to date.

I think that's cos it's still beta. The latest official version (i.e. the one covered by the updater) is still 1.6.1.

This is just a minor thing, but still bothers me every time I launch Scrivener.
The main toolbar doesn't stay locked when I restart Scrivener after locking it.
I'm not sure if this has been reported yet.

Right, as Pigfender said, the betas aren't on the update channel; you just have to check in on the forum for new releases.

Thanks, I've logged this.

Is it possible to get the corkboard background to scroll a little more smoothly?

As already reported for v1.7.0.1 the crashes for weblinks (other than Wikipedia) persist.

First: The first time after the update Scrivener died with a dialog that I unfortunately couldn't capture in picture. All the following crashes happen completely silently, Scrivener just disappears. In this example from this site: http://einestages.spiegel.de/page/Home.html I can't copy the exact link because Scrivener prevents it by crashing.

Second: I noticed that links to Youtube are blocked by Google because you still use the old webkit browser from Qt; saying that Youtube blocks Safari browsers.

Maybe there is a connection between the two cases in the use of the old webkit brwoser from Qt? Could it also be that you don't handle well the case when the webpage cannot be found anymore?

I'm kind of wondering why there hasn't been a new beta, because this one expires March 1st.

Yes, will we be getting an update before the end of the night? I'd rather not have to reinstall the standard version in order to get any work done tomorrow.

I upped the system dates to check. We get the full day on March 1; an expiry notice on March 2. Likewise likin' this beta.

You can have the standard and the beta versions installed side by side. Just install the beta version in its own folder called (for example) ScrivenerBETA.

I tend to do my "important, can't afford to wreck, large project" work in the standard version, and smaller stuff in the beta.

Yes, we're aware of the deadline coming up. The new beta will be out before 1.7.0.2 expires.
