I didn't have anything good to read, so I asked my wife, who is librarian, if she could recommend a book. She recommended a "children's book" called Hatchet. I didn't find it more childish then Robinson Crusoe and the story and writing are excellent. If you want to enjoy a good book, read Hatchet.

I have a friend that has been talking about that book for years. He loves it. I have yet to break down and read it though, so I can't really add anymore than that.

I remember reading that book when I was a kid, I loved it. They turned it into a movie as well. It was right about the time I was in the boyscouts so the whole survival in the wilderness really drew me in.
