It's a silly problem of my own making -- but I have linked one of my iOS Scrivener apps to sync to the wrong Dropbox account (I have two).

How do I 'detach' it and reset Dropbox with the right account? Even after deleting the app and reinstalling, it still loyally auto-connected to Dropbox -- but I need it to link to my OTHER account, and I can't find a way to change it.

Unlink from Dropbox in the Scrivener app.
Use the Dropbox app on your iOS device and sign out from the wrong account.
Sign in on the right account.
Link Scrivener again.

Thanks, lunk, and that was in line with what I was expecting -- except that I can't find a way to unlink. (I'm using the iPhone app).

On the main screen, where your projects are listed, tap "Edit", Depending on what form factor your iDevice is (phone or ipad), there will be a row of icons that appears. One will be a round gear icon. Tap on that, and you'll see the "Unlink Dropbox" option.

If you have any project, then first move them to "on my i(phone/pad)" section after tapping "edit",

Got it! Thank you. For the benefit of others, there are two different gear wheel preferences on left and right at different times. If you don't find Dropbox settings on one, look for another (mine was bottom right of the screen). I did not need to go into the Dropbox app to make the change as it happens.

It's a bit out of the way, isn't it? Also of note, I don't think the iOS dropbox app is necessary for Scrivener for iOS to sync. I could be wrong on this front, but I think that they had to build in the ability to sync with Dropbox directly.

This is very different from what is required on Mac and Windows, as those programs know next to nothing about dropbox, and require that you have the dropbox sync software installed and that you save your projects within the Dropbox folder created by that installation.

If no DropBox app installed, where would user sign into DropBox account?

If you don't have the Dropbox app on your device, you'll be taken to a Web page to sign in.

Hope this helps!
