There are two things you can do. In both cases, start by tapping the
Edit button in the main project screen, and then select the project:
- To duplicate a local copy, tap the duplication button in the footer bar. Drag it into the “on my iPad” area once it duplicates, and give it a useful name.
- Tap the “share” button. This will zip the project and send it to any tool that can do stuff with zips, including Files. It’s a great way to keep a serial list of backups when you don’t have a Mac/PC around. You can even unzip and copy them back into Scrivener from Files, to restore.
Congratulations, you’re running a safer system than 95% of the world around you.

Backups are so important no matter if you sync or not.
