Sorry if this has been answered, but I searched and couldn’t find any posts.

Is there a way to do a document wide search and replace, rather than going into each chapter document?

Say halfway through a story I change a characters name, I then have to go chapter by chapter to change the name throughout the document, rather than doing one single find and replace.

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, you can't. I sometimes find it frustrating, too.
So you know where I'm coming from:
  • I write fiction.
  • I'm not an L&L employee.
  • Mac Scrivener 3.1.4, MacBook Air 11, MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave)
  • IOS Scrivener 1.2; iPhone 8+, iPad 6; i(Pad)OS 13.2.3
