Yeah, basically we have been using the new iOS-friendly project format for about half a year now on both platforms. The software on the other hand obviously lacks the menu commands, toolbar buttons and subsystems required to actually *sync*. So there will be an update, but it shouldn't be something that requires another series of project backups and so forth.

Answer from David on Scriveners Facebook page;
The beta testing process is going well! . It typically takes 3 months to compete, so we're hoping to release during July 2016 - but it naturally depends on the process continuing to go well.

I am excited.

Evernote is great for storing scattered ideas.
OneNote is great for organizing classroom notes.
Scrivener is THE place for organizing and writing.

OneNote surprisingly has been slow at adopting many useful features that only in the last month or so have made it a full blown version.

I think I can wait another 3 months for my iPad pro to become the writing beast that it can be.

Who am I kidding.
There isn't an ounce of patience left. I would beta test right now if I could. :-)

Darn, so much for my hope for a June release so I could use it on vacation.

According to their twitter account, the testers will be notified this week:

Thanks to all beta volunteers! We'll send out invites this week. The (300) slots went much quicker than expected!

I have to say that they should be thankful for the community out there that has remained passionate and faithful to the program.

There are SO many apps and programs out there that are waiting to take our money and sync between platforms. Yet....when the beta opens they are flooded with requests.

This is mac level loyalty.....something that should be treated with great treasure. Few companies get patience like this.

By the way....are we there yet :D

Well, when I use Scrivener, (I started using it about 6 months ago) I think there is by far nothing that beats it. Yes, I want some (small) changes, and I *really* look forward to the iOS version, but I'm sure it will be worth it. That program is sooooo well thought out, it deserves loyalty.

And let's not misunderstand this: the reason the iOS version has taken so long, is because the developers want to make it not good, but *great*, and they want to keep it to their own high standards.
Even if you don't like the delays, one must respect that.

Looking forward to more details and having the iOS version!

Ah, missed this, too bad ;)

Will certainly trust the others, though, and godspeed to them and the project, fruit of so many efforts, Keith.

Best,
