The in-laws are coming - I won't have the time to write my chapter.
So sorry!!! ☹️
If they're anything like my 'in-laws', not only will you have no time ... you'll have no beer!... no wine!... no whiskey!... and no food left in the house! And! ... if they're like mine: as they're leaving, they'll be saying "Hi-ya!" to another bunch of freeloaders just arriving!!

It'll all even out in the end.
Wait, that's not right.
It'll sort itself out in the wash?
No, no.
Whatever. Go with the flow.

It's almost here - tomorrow is The Big Day! Is anyone scared? I'm quite scared. But I have my chocolate and coffee supplies, and plenty of scented candles, crystals, rosaries, a few chickens and an altar if things get REALLY desperate...
For years I waited for a Writing Angel to sprinkle her magic Confidence Dust on me. But she never came. That's when I realised I was going to have to find my own dust.

Um.... not quite. Still a week to go, right? Twenty-EIGHTH?

Deal me in either way, but I'm thinking it's next Saturday.

Yes (or the 27th in my time-date zone). So I guess what Conrad is saying here is that, well, the chickens are done for.

P.S. Unless, of course, Maerahn is signed up for SNIAD, some sort of super-secret invite-only niad that we don't even know about.

Oh good grief.... I've been living a week into the future! How have I still been able to function normally in every other aspect of my life while still doing that?

Or maybe I WAS at the 27th earlier today, but now I've jumped a week back into the past...!

Either way, I guess this means I'm super-super-prepared for it. And I don't feel like a fool, no siree, not at all. Nope, my face is always this colour.

Suspiciously well-prepared, in fact, especially if NIAD2017 turns out to be set in the future or involves time travel in some way.

Hi! I'd like to take part in this. It's my first time, could I get more details? Thank you!

You poor soul. He's going to suck you in and you'll never escape.

Welcome to the disease. If you like high pressure deadlines and undefined requirements you are in for a treat. Piggy is a lot of fun and NiaD is just like him. I'll let him give you the tech details, but the one thing you MUST make sure you have is plenty of adult beverage for soothing your soul before, during and after the event.

New here but I'd like to be part of this madness too.
