In your defense I did send it to you well prior to sunrise on your side of the planet. My concern is the ... liberty taken? Did I miss continuity again?

I recall a certain sheriff being a bit less unsheriff in the brief ut my brain simply unwilling to comply with that concept.

Just re-read and get why you're asking now. You're safe. :)

Now imagine what you'd come up with if you used the whole rest of the day!

God bless all y'all who not only can accept the lack of continuity, but thrive in it, for He knows I am not one of them.

I've got marmite on my trackpad and now it's all sticky. Crumpets are not a sensible snack for when typing.

Wow. You guys are FAST. I'm still figuring out what the [CENSORED] is going on here

Me too. ;) I'm only about 400 words in, and I feel like I'd get better results just smacking my keyboard repeatedly with my head. Oh well, at least there's still around eight hours left before deadline.... 8)

I am still very much in that annual I-Just-Drank-Too-Much-Coffee-I-Can't-Do-This-I'm-Going-To-Write-To-Piggy-And-Cancel phase.

Marmite on crumpets? Serves you right for attempting such a Frankenstein's monster of a snack.

750 words in so far. Something will be produced, though I'm not entirely sure what.

I removed 3k words to get it down to what I sent. There were suits, tumble weed cowboys, spies and spirits in the original draft. As it is I realize I set up about 3 different plot twists one of which could be a a true vic-k level mind bender. There are some interesting coincidences in my brief (the 2k5 one in particular).

But alas. I must wait till later to see exactly what you planned.

Still going, but... On the plus side, I am WAY further on in my progress now than I was at this time in last year's event, so yay, I have evolved!

On the downside... I'm going to have to swim to San Francisco and back to burn off all the 'creative brain food' I have consumed to get to that stage.

Congratulations!

On the progress, not the need to run.

Although... if it was tasty brain food... Congratulations!

Ah, that was a nice nap. I've got a pot of coffee brewed, a little breakfast to quiet the insatiable beast gnawing at my insides, and plenty of time to really get the first draft of this chapter pounded out.

Checks count-down timer...

Oh h*ck.
