Four hours to go and on the home stretch (64%) with the hardest part behind me. :) I'm liking this project!

Delivered. And now I want to know what happens next.

Statistics (in case anyone cares): Started 13:08, finished 16:20, 2,566 words.

Sent mine in too , but now wondering if it should be longer, lot of dialogue in that chapter. Let me know Pigfender still plenty of time to change or add to it,

2,566 of them were brilliant.
(makes you sick...)

I HAVE A QUESTION:

Has Dr. Lisa Warne's office been described before? I envision it being completely unlike a private psychiatrist's office (soothing, tidy, big couch, comfy chairs). Instead, I'm picturing it being a little cramped a window up high in the wall above shelves jammed with notes, periodicals and reference books; a computer taking up far too much of a moderate sized desk. Two ordinary, well-worn chairs for visitors.

If this conflicts, please let me know and I'll adjust the setting in my second pass through.

Sorry, Robert, can't help you. I don't have that office in mine.

Done with my first draft. It clocks in at 1,764. First a break, then edits. Hope my words will be just as brilliant as Michael's. :D

Maybe we should establish who has the first chapter the office appears in and have that person dictate the office details for everyone to follow?

Just my tuppence. Pigfender?

HOMEPORT - happy for you to keep working on it and either send me an updated version later or stick with what you've already sent.

Re Lisa's office - Homeport, why don't youkeep Lisa's office. (post a description of what you've used here if you want) and let others either make tweaks to fit or they can keep their existing descriptions and just say Lisa is borrowing someone else's office because hers has files all over the floor, or confidential case notes scribbled on a white board.

Seriously, though - The briefs have been written with a certain amount of leyway so people can stamp their own authority on their sections. As a result, continuity will I GUARANTEE be all over the place.

BTW I've been asked a couple of times what season the story is set in. I've answered Autumn both times.
