For years I've used DEVONthink or download webpages although I've stopped using the WebArchive format long ago for many reasons including that it is deprecated. (See: https://developer.apple.com/documentati ... guage=objc )

I recently started capturing web content into Scrivener and without thinking about it, used its built-in "Import Webpage" on the Mac and then found out it uses the WebArchive format. and also unfortunately, this isn't compatible with Scrivener 3 on Windows.

Scrivener 3 Windows also imports webpages in the .MHT format which doesn't seem compatible with Scrivener 3 for Mac. At least, Scrivener 3 Mac won't display it and when I try to Open with External Editor, Word fires up but then pops up the nasty message of "The operation is cancelled (content .mht)." (Uh—ok.)

So I have a number of questions about this:

1. Since WebArchive format is deprecated, what are the plans on the Mac version for downloading webpage? Is there something beyond WebArchive?

2. Since the documents created by import webpage on both Mac and Window versions are not compatible with each other, is there a plan to use a format that is compatible by both platforms?

3. I think I found a bug with the Convert Webpage to Text option in the Windows version (see: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=66277 ).
