Better highlighting of footnotes in Full screen

I’m working in Full screen mode all the time and love it! Also using many footnotes. I would be very pleased with a better highlighting of the footnote with which I am presently working. Now there is only a very think gray frame, but somewhere else in the program I saw nice red line around the actual footnote. Something like this would save me some irritation, and, perhaps, give me a longer life ;)

If you override the colour of the text in the full screen preferences, footnotes will use the text colour for their border.

Hope that helps.

All the best,
Keith

OK, but then all text becomes e.g., blue, right? I now made the background of footnotes in Full screen mode lighter, and then the contrast is better, but in the normal mode it is clearer anyway…

Yes, that's right, changing the text colour would change everything - but seeing as you said you saw a nice red line around a footnote somewhere else in the program, I thought this is what you wanted, given that this is the only way to achieve that.

Which footnotes do you mean - inspector footnotes or inline footnotes? The thing to remember is that if you don't override the text colour, then full screen shows the text and footnotes and suchlike in exactly the same colour as the main window.

All the best,
Keith

I mean inspector footnotes. My goal is to, when I click on its field in the text, easily see which footnote I am working with.Colour or not is not important, only to quickly see it marked.

Ah, you mean the selection border? This is determined by the OS - there are standard selection colours. But you can change the background colour of the full screen comments pane in the Appearance preferences to something lighter so that it's easier to see the selection border.

All the best,
Keith
