I know this might not be the time to bring up a feature request but I have one anyway.

I would like a 'Foundation Line' feature.

There are many different methods of note taking (Fir Tree, Herring Bone, etc) and even story / character timelines that could benefit from this. Basically it would be a simple line much like the standard lines between notes that the note - note lines could link onto and then onto the note.

For example:

You can create two small shapes on either side of the board and connect them for the line. By double-clicking on the line, you can create a new connected note there, which you could then use as a node for linking one or more other notes off of. You can keep adding points to the line this way as needed.

Good suggestion, Jennifer. I was able to create a basic timeline.

If you want a more powerful timeline, I suggest you have a look at Aeon Timeline http://www.scribblecode.com/. The Windows version is in the last stages of Beta, and Matt is hoping to release it in time for NanoWriMo.
