It would be fantastic if styles in Scrivener worked liked styles in Pages, Word or Google Docs where style changes apply to all text using that style. Right now styles work like templates for text formatting. Editing a style will not propagate all those changes to all text using the style. That makes styles considerably less useful. Changing font size in an entire project isn't something that can be done with a few mouse clicks, as would be expected.

Lit & Lat has already said that the next version of Scrivener (v3; paid upgrade) will make the switch from the current presets system to a styles system of the sort you are talking about.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully, it will make the whole user experience feel less clunky.
