Hi all!

Does anyone know how to add the chapter number to the header or footer in compile using placeholder tags? I tried and tried but can only get the placeholder tag to appear as a tag.

Anyone figure this out?

Thanks

I am using Scrivener 2.6 on a Mac PowerBook Pro OS X 10.7.5

This is a known limitation, we have already added it to the list for consideration (probably in implementation similar to how Scrivener Links can acquire section numbering automatically, taken from the Title Prefix). It can currently just be set to print the current section name with the <$sectiontitle> placeholder tag (which prints the “Title” value of the last item that generated a page break).
