Wish: Multiple highlight hotkeys

Hello. Is there any way I can set a hot key for a specific highlight colour? For example, I tend to be sporadic with my tenses. I am currently using yellow for current tense, while I use orange for past tense. Pressing control and shift and H is nice, when I want to highlight the previous selected colour.
But what if I don't want to use the previous colour? I use my laptop without a mouse, and it would be much easier if I could, say, Control + shift + H + 1 for the first colour, Control + shift + H + 2 for the second, etc.
And I know for a fact that this wouldn't be hard to implement.
Edit: I have no idea if this feature is on the mac one, and I understand this is made by one developer. But, even so, thank you for reading this.
