No doubt with the precondition that you are in your local cookies and mocha joint when you do the swipe.

That hit the corporate filter. Now I really want to know what 1 and 7 are.

I have a wife and 2 kids that I can only attribute to a wiggle, a giggle, and the realization that she was out of my league so I might as well be happy with her as a friend. 26 years marriage later, I can't imagine life without her. -Me 10/7/09

I'm pretty much not buying an iPad until there's a Scrivener app for it. I travel a lot and would want to use it in replacement of my macbook, so I'd be doing a lot of writing on it. Until then, it's just pen & paper. (And reading the doc on my Nook Tablet.)

Landscape view
Ability to see the Inspector on landscape.

I see myself using portrait to read and make very minor edits. So I see that as a clean, full screen.. and then I'd want a lot of meat--or at least more of the software--on landscape.

Granted... It's May and this post started in December, so fingers cross most of the development is well underway. :) Anyway. Eagerly awaiting this app!

I didn't read all the replies, so excuse me if my comments are redundant:

I write fiction [novels and short stories] in Pages '09 on the iPad, with automatic saving/uploading to iCloud, which I assume works similar to Dropbox [I don't use DB, so I have no clue re: differences].

I'm still on the trial version of Scrivener 2.2 for Mac, but I'm exceptionally pleased with the features, so it will probably become my number one writing tool.

I could do without Pages if I could write straight in the ScrivApp and sync the changes through the iCloud, similar to making changes in my iCalender.

As far as the features go, the Binder and the Editor seem, to me, the most important, with drop-down menus for Research and Inspector. As with most people who like to take their iPad everywhere, I suspect the real heavy editing/arranging work will be down on the Mac[Book]. I also think that features like 'Compile' will be pretty moot on the iPad.

So, in short, I'd be most interested in a ScrivApp that would allow for changes in scenes and uploading new scenes to the right chapter folders in the Binder, with perhaps some editing features for the Inspector. To avoid clutter, I'd keep the rearranging/compiling features out of the ScrivApp.

Thanks for being open to feedback in this manner!

Actually surprised this hasn't been posted here already - Probably sums that up pretty well. (Totally unfair wager, but I'll bet its out in time for Nanowrimo by the skin of its teeth).

Hi, I am about to purchase Scrivener for my Mac( lion 10.4.7) iMac and MBPro, and would love to have it also on my iPad3 with STORYBOARDS that would synch with 2D animation programs like TVPaint.
Thanks for a great program!

Hello everyone,

awwww, allright then I'll wait! [sulks] but it's like waiting for a bus, at night, and it's raining, and I need the loo!

I am using WriteRoom and then importing to Scrivener using Dropbox, it works fine, but I do miss Scrivener when I am on the move. The WR white screen's fine and great for clutter-free writing, but Scrivener gives me all that and Heaven too!

I get everything you write about coding for object-oriented iOS, so, can the iPad version have the same facilities tracking characters, locations, scenes and research, like its big sister?? TA v. much!
