I always longed for custom meta data in Windows and got so accustomed to the standard fields that now I wonder what can I use it for. Any ideas?

Custom Meta-Data?

Does that mean syncing with Aeon Timeline, or are there other 2.0 features we'll need as well before that'll work?

Custom Meta-Data can be used to manage timelines (date of scenes), places of scenes, tension level, goal, motivation, conflict... It depends of the complexity of your story. For me, the first 3 will be sufficient.
Yes I understood that custom meta-data are prerequisites for Aeon Timeline to sync with Scrivener for Windows. As you saw, I posted the question in the editor forum.

Nice!

Yes indeed, but AFAIK a version of Aeon Timeline for Windows which supports sync has not been released yet though. :(

Thanks.

BTW, I'm not sure you have to say "LATEST" on your release announcements. ;)

I'm looking forward to all the great changes and fixes. Just a comment on the links to the detailed list of fixes for beta 3 and 4, they don't actually point to the lists.

Hi guys,

not sure if this is the place to post problems I'm having with the latest beta release?

Anyway, whenever I try to open Scratch Pad, my Scrivener crushes. It shuts down immediately, no warning message or delay. It's happened everytime I tried to open Scratch Pad, so it wasn't just one glitch, basically I haven't been able to use Scratch Pad ever since this last release.

Thanks for the report, Moim. This has to do with opening a new window and also occurs when opening the Project Notes as a separate window. We've fixed it for the next release.

In future, you can create a new topic in the Beta forum to report bugs (include the beta number in the subject) or post in an existing topic to give more information on someone else's report. Thanks!

I'm glad that some Mac-only features are being already integrated into the next revision. Thank you very much!

Any chance that the feature allowing Scrivenings mode to show file names on each document is considered for 1.7?

That will be part of revamping Scrivenings in a later version. At this point we're not adding further features to 1.7.

Thanks a lot, Jeniffer, for the clarification. Anyway the effort so far to catch up has been noticed and welcome!

Best regards,
