We are pleased to announce Scrivener for Linux 220.127.116.11 beta. This version benefits from many of the bug fixes and new features and new file format of the paid Windows 18.104.22.168 and Mac 2.7 versions. There are two versions we are releasing 22.214.171.124 and 1.9.01. Version 126.96.36.199 is identical to the current Linux 188.8.131.52 version, but with the beta expiry removed. Version 184.108.40.206 also has no expiry. Both versions remain unsupported. There is a full list of new features and bug fixes after the download section of this post.
Note that we currently have no capacity or plans to release another Linux version. As a gesture of good-will, we decided to make a concerted effort to provision 220.127.116.11 to the Linux community instead of just removing the trial expiry date on the current version and re-releasing. We will be resuming focus on the next major releases of Windows & Mac. The Windows version will always be an option to Linux users - either via WINE or VM in the future for those that wish to take advantage of future functionality.

I'm running the 18.104.22.168 beta (64bit) on a Chromebook running Ubuntu (Trusty) through crouton. The software is running as expected EXCEPT that Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down doesn't work. The expected behaviour would be to select/deselect paragraphs at a time, but instead just nothing happens. Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right works (selecting/deselecting words at a time) as do other key combinations. But this particular one doesn't, which is kind of annoying as I use it a lot.
