I use Windows and my writing partner uses a Max. It has been six months since the Mac 3 version was released. Since new Mac version is not compatible with Windows, Scrivener is now worthless for us. You need to either make the Windows 3 version or add the ability to save a compatible version with the Mac. Six months is ridiculous.

But there is a capability to save a compatible version on the Mac. File > Export > as Scrivener 2 Project... Alternatively, your Mac-using partner can use Scrivener version 2.9 (https://www.literatureandlatte.com/download_action.php?url=http://scrivener.s3.amazonaws.com/legacy/Scrivener-2.dmg) with his Mac Scrivener 3.0.x licence.

Hope this helps.
So you know where I'm coming from:

  • I'm not an L&L employee.
  • Mac Scrivener 3.1.5, MacBook Air 11, MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave)
  • IOS Scrivener 1.2.1; iPhone 8+, iPad 6; i(Pad)OS 13.3

The work-around for compatibility between PC and Mac is a pain in the a$$. Does nothing to help workflow and Scrivener developers need not lean on it as a solution.

The Beta releases though, show promise yet are not fully there yet.
