How could one exclude all documents / folders from being compiled in a single step (to activate only the ones to be compiled needed, if there is only a few ones to be compiled)?

You select the few to compile in the Binder and in compile choose Selection at the top instead of Draft

* Mac Scrivener 3 on a Macbook 12”, MacBook Pro 13”, and iMac 27”, running different OS.
* iOS Scrivener 1 on an iPhone 11 Pro, iPad Air 9.7”, and iPad Pro 12.9”, all running the latest iOS

I don't think 1.9 has the compile selection option.
What I would do is I would select the documents in the Binder, create a Collection, then select that collection for compile.

Actually I cannot imagine that such an important option should be missing completely.

OK, with collections, thank you.

... or switch to the new beta version

Does that version already work good enough?
