Is it possible to create a custom layout for a numbered list and save the ruler setting as a Preset? I am using the detailed outline option that goes 1, 1.1, 1.1.1, etc., and want to format the lists so they line up and can't seem to figure out how to make it happen.

In the image the first set is how I want to format my lists and the second set is what occurs naturally.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We don’t unfortunately have a good way of doing that. Lists in Scrivener a hugely less complicated than in other word processors you may have used. The program, from a formatting standpoint, doesn’t see the whole thing as a list, but just a line of text. Thus if you save a preset, you’re just saving the settings for that one bullet line. I.e. just treat the list tool as a basic way to input simple lists, and save detailed formatting of them for after you compile, in your word processor.
