Three posts in one today.

Aeon Timeline 1.0.6 has just been released and is available for download here:

View the full change log below. There is some good new stuff in there as well as bug fixes.

As part of the release for version 1.0.6, there are now two example timelines that come as part of the application. When you launch version 1.0.6 of the application, you will be able to select and view the Example Timelines from the Welcome Screen.

I have also created a video screencast that walks through the larger of the two examples, a timeline based on Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express.

If you can stand my shoddy Australian accent for long enough, you can watch the video tutorial here:

That video provides a good overview of how you might structure a larger project, and use filters and other features to break a large project down into component pieces.

Aeon Timeline has had its first review. It's very positive, so I am posting a link here to gloat. ... -timeline/

There are also some videos to go along with it, which you may wish to have a look at.

  • Fixed a bug that caused exported timelines to have very large widths in some occasions.
  • Fixed an out-of-memory crash that occurred when importing 2000+ events.
  • A crash that occurred when editing calendars with timelines open.
  • Fixed a bug that set a limit on the duration of an event.
  • Attempted to fix some crashes caused by failure of the eSellerate engine to install.

This should be the version I will submit to the Mac AppStore, hopefully within the next week.
