Works for me, but I changed the shortcut a while back. Did you try to change the keyboard shortcut and/or restart the Mac?

To change the shortcut, go to the Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard shortcut, or something similar (my OS is in French )

Hope this helps.

I tried all of that - oh well - had one other problem with NV pop up - somehow I pushed the wrong combination of buttons and erased the whole database - no backup - don't think it's the program's responsibility to prevent this - actually, it's sort of liberating when you lose a chunk of what you had previously considered indispensable information - turns out starting all over and making it up when you have to works just fine, and produces better writing.

Glad to know you don't mind that lost too much.
But that's still bad news and it's worrisome. I don't recall any single shortcut to do something so radical, and even in that case it should have had a warning before the deletion, be it one or a thousand notes.

Though, I think I do understand you liberation feeling. For years I have been lugging years old drafts, always thinking "one day I will use them". I trashed(1) them two months ago, and it was like coming out of jail (as far as I can imagine) or loosing a hundred pounds (this, I know).

1: being a packrat, trashing anything digital for me means putting them out of my "project" folder and tossing them in an archive folder I certainly won't ever open in this lifetime.

Hurrah!

The data is safe and sound in NV's Application Support folder -

So now I'm liberated twice!

Thanks-
