i know that a lot of folks have been talking about note/jot type utility within scrivener and i also understand that keith is updating the jotpad utility...

in the interim, i had been using smultron to capture reasonably large notes and have wound up with the update version of deep note, it's free and available at:

it's a hierarchical notepad - superlight and fast, but lets you indent notes and create nested notes on the fly...useful for rapid sorting before pulling into any open scriv file depending on what you're writing (of course)....

btw, this is the same dude who makes the free tofu app for reading text in 3 columns on widescreen macs, which is very useful for visualizing a column layout for written work stuff...

Interesting. I'm downloading now - he's a pretty cool guy; Tofu is very nice.
