Way back when Mike Godwin and I were college chums and the internet was a gleam in DARPA's eye, little did either of us know that he would achieve immortality on Hitler's coattails! He sure got that one right, much to his chagrin, I imagine.

Well, I was going to try to say something witty, but let's drop that. Though, it is impressive to see how long a thread can meander off the subject. Well done vic-k as always.

And I too want a USB key, and a mug, and... It is that damn logo, simple, black and white, gorgeous.

Best of the season to you all from snowy, freezing Montreal,
Simon

Crisp nights, but in the day, it is sunny skies and we keep popping up into the 70s°F. 8) My sweeter half complains at the lack of frigid precipitation.

Maybe you poor snow-bounders would like to bunk in for a long winter's Scriv-fest. B.Y.O. Scrivener sleep shirt.

P.S. The Scriv pill is a fun idea. If you really turn later to consider a Scriv-branded USB drive, give some thought to its footprint. The cylindrical shape (as opposed to a flatten design) makes it look like a happy pill, but on the down side appears to make it pretty "tall" sitting in the port.

P.P.S. USB suppository. Do I need a port adapter for that?

Given that we have, however briefly, strayed back on topic...

Good point for drives that you use for storage. For a simple installation device I don't think it matters, though. I did look at others, but this was the most style black-and-white design...

Best,
Keith

Yeah, sounds right.

Sorry, all, for dabbling in the thread topic!

USB Suppository...

Now I know why I recall the shape.
Did anybody read Papillon by that con man Henri Charriere ?

The chargers that they carried with them in their...............intestines......

I can think of so many 21st century uses.

Nice one KB.

Yes, just so.

I think that`s a brill Marketing ploy. People not needing/wanting Scriv, would still be introduced to its name and possibly become intrigued.

Put the "pill" in the coffee mug and include a small instruction sheet before plastic wrapping.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Take pill out of mug.
Insert Pill.
Fill Mug.
Proceed.

I believe that this configuration would come under the jurisdiction of the DMCA (Digital Millenium Coffee Act) here in the states...
