Thought I'd pass on this book from Steven Pressfield that has some great advice for recognizing and overcoming the blocks we all experience in our creative lives.

Misleading post-title ;)

I'd also thought recommending Sun Tzu's ancient Art of War book on strategy, as that has some useful lessons about how to plan on defeating the army of publishers writers will no doubt encounter during their lifetime. Not to mention some interesting tales of warfare in China, as well as an infinite supply of proverbs.
A summary can be found here.
