On a slightly less serious note, the Canadian (dumb enough to marry a 'merican) that I hired for a spot at work has convinced me that there is a new -lish that must be accounted for. We shall call it "eh"-lish.

I should also explain that, having been raised in New York City, Canada's eh didn't sound all that strange to me when I arrived. Of course, in NY it was spelled "ay" and used mostly as part of the expletival phrase, "f***ing ay!"

Hi all,

Last week I met the man who translated Think Better into Korean. He gave me a copy of a truly beautifully produced edition, then a few days later sent me this photo of the book in a major Korean bookstore. I don't know the Korean for übercool, but if I did, I'd shout it out.

Good to hear the book is still circulating and finding new markets.

I saw it in a bookstore in Australia at a time when I was doing something else, but I have looked a few times since and unfortunately haven't been able to find it. It is usually listed, but "out of stock".

I might need to go the online ordering route.

We've been working on a Stockportianese version. But the translation — as I know you can appreciate — is exceedingly difficult. We have interviewed several people fluent in Stockportianese for this purpose. Unfortunately, however, we have discovered that none of them can speak English.

Perhaps you can steer us in the right direction. Or for that matter any direction at all.

A late reply....

I think your writing about thinking is wonderful. I learned to think *logically* when I first questioned a certain religious theory. My thinking took me to the world of logic and reasoning, and got me to going one step deeper and deeper to get to the answers. Now, I am amazed at the comments some of my own middle-aged friends make about certain things, as if they have no thoughtful knowledge that goes deeper than surface level. Do they not 'think things through'?

Your book probably talks more about creative thinking, where I sure fall short. I can literally remember telling friends, "I'm just not a creative person". But now, even just knowing the intent of your book, just maybe I can become one! Makes me want to get your book. Thanks for writing it!
