Which eBook publisher do you prefer, and why? I am embarking on a series of how-to eBooks for some of my regular clients and I'm wondering what the most streamlined method is for putting the eBooks up in a nice visible marketplace? I will compile a Kindle version for amazon of course, and I'm thinking I have time and patience to put an epub version up on one more major platform. Smashwords seems to be ahassle as far as getting your Word doc just so, but they do make your work available to a wide audience for free. Lulu seems to find more opportunities to charge you depending on what venues your want your eBook seen in, but i've heard that the epub conversion process is more user-friendly. (They would also accept an epub already compiled by Scrivener, I think.)

Thoughts? Anecdotes? Horror stories?
