Hello! I'm happy to have found a forum where I can interact with other writers and discuss our shared craft.

My name is J. A. Cummings, and I've written two novels, a short story collection, and a poetry collection, all published as e-books and available through Amazon.com (and lulu.com and jacummings.com). I'm self-published, and I think that fact unfortunately colors me as some sort of fly-by-night creature whose publications have only vanity value. I saw self-publishing as a way to be in total control of my work.

I'm currently working on three more novels, one in the same series as the first two and another two that are completely separate. I'm thrilled to have found this program and this forum, because frankly, Word and OpenOffice just aren't doing it for me anymore.

I'm hoping to branch out into screenplays soon. I have the ideas, but I needed a little help with formatting. A collaborator pointed me to Scrivener, and the rest is future history.

Please check out my website at http://www.jacummings.com to get an idea of who I am and what my writing is all about. I look forward to interacting with you here!
