I had a horrible hangover, that's all.
And check out the chipped manicure. Obviously my offspring were in residence and my brain was fried anyway.

Kitten,
Imperfections only make you appear earthier, and more alluring. Grrrrrrr!!

Oh, then I certainly hope I never run into you when I've spent the day grooming and shampooing and picking the burrs out of the manes and tales of two filthy horses...

Not that I'd dream of rushing you Keith, but might we have a firm date when Scriv 2.0 will be coming out? At least that way I can put it on the calendar and start marking down the days. ;) Please?

31st October.

It will actually be before that, but if you put that date on your calendar, you won't be disappointed. :)

I purchased this sw on July 22nd. I just found out that I have to pay extra $25 to update to new version since I purchased before August 1st.
It is not fair. :(

There's nothing unfair about it, but that is bad timing. On the other hand, look at it like this: given that buying Scrivener 1.x and then the 2.0 update costs $65 whereas 2.0 alone costs $45, you only really paid $20 for 1.x; so using Scrivener 1.x from July 22nd until when Scrivener 2.0 is released works out at less than $10 a month, and there are plenty of things we all spend more than $10 a month on. :) Besides, you don't have to upgrade for a while if you don't want to.

Hideki,

Unfair? Come on ... that happens to all of us at some time or other, especially if it's anything connected to computers. I bought my 17" MacBook Pro a few months after they first came out, since I knew it was what I wanted and I had the money available. I'd only had it about a month when Apple suddenly announced a new version with, if I remember rightly, a faster processor, greater maximum memory capacity, bigger hard disk, various other tweaks ... and what really hurt, a drop in price.

Go figure ...

Mark

I've had my MacPro almost 2 years and have had Scrivener a bit shorter time, and can easily say I spend more time on this program than anything else.

Will gladly pay this additional when I view what's in the newest version. Wish/hope I can pay ahead, so I can wake one day, turn on computer, bring up Scrivener and it updates to 2.0!

This was recommended by a favorite author (Jennifer Cruisie) and I will be forever grateful. Scrivener's flexibility fits itself to authors individual world-building writing processes.

Scrivener and Jennie C, are both the best at what they do!

Hi scrappier,

Many thanks for your kind words! Jennifer Cruse and the Cherry forums have been very nice to us, and we really appreciate it. I don't think there will be any way of pre-ordering, but it shouldn't take long to ay and update when the time comes.

Thanks again,
Keith
