The forum now has a new RSS/Atom feed generator installed into it. The older one will remain, so as to not break the feed links of everyone currently using it, and it will also remain the easiest way to get an update of posts on the forum. If you do not have any wish to customise how the feed works, you can continue using the feed you’ve been using all along.

If you would like to create a custom feed for yourself, however, you may do so with this link. The default settings will work with most feed readers and provide you with updates to all forums. You can disable certain forums from your feed, if you wish to be more selective. So for instance you could turn off the tech support and off-topic forums if you are only interested in hearing tips and advice from other users about the Scrivener software—or everything except the announcement boards to get general official announcements. These are just a few examples.

Once you are done setting it up, click the Generate button at the bottom, and copy and paste the URL into your feed reader or browser.

So again, this is a more advanced RSS tool. If you’ve been happy with the current one (accessible via the orange feed logo at the top of every forum page) then you can safely ignore this. But if you’re a Mac or Windows user and don’t like having to wade through posts from other platforms, you might want to check out the new feed feature.
