Styles in Edit Scrivening mode

Hi Keith, I suspect that applying styles, copying and pasting styles, and copying and pasting rulers, do not work in Edit Scrivening mode. I would find these operations very useful. For example, pasting styles to several older documents from an older document, when all them are shown in Edit Scriven...

Well, I would say that Pantelleria is not the coldest place in the world. I guess this contributes to the heath somewhat.

Keith, When exporting a document from Word or OpenOffice to RTF, the style sheet is preserved. Probably, this is not a standard feature, and is made with a trick, but they do something to achieve exporting. There is a declaration, at the beginning of RTF documents generated by these programs, saying...

Paul,

I guess the problem is that Mellel replaces all your RTF styles into its own styles. I'm hoping there is a chance this will be changed soon, but I can't see signs that this may happen.

Asking to Mellel's creators is not a bad idea, though.

Greg,

May you try with any page from Wikipedia? I'm having problems there.

Keith, while you are there, do you think you can make Zoom In and Zoom Out commands work for web pages?

The history of the other split can be traversed without leaving the current split by using Cmd-Opt-[ and ]. Gosh. On my fake Italian "Pro" keyboard, Cmd-Opt is already used to choose the square brackets (they are relegated to third position, being used by odd writers and not by "pro&...

Shortcuts for history navigation arrows

Keith, I don't know if this is already there, and I simply cannot find it. But I would like to find a couple shortcuts corresponding to the Previous/Next arrows in the Header View's area. I'm writing a story requiring several researches, and I'm jumping very much between a character's biography, and...

Stefan,

There are a couple sharewares doing this:

<http://sustworks.com/site/prod_keyclick_overview.html>
<http://alphaomega.software.free.fr/typewriterkeyboard/Typewriter%20Keyboard.html>

I never tried them, but I'll soon. I, too, love the old key click.

Some years ago I bought an iPod shuffle - the one with no display. It is essentially a 1 GB flash drive, half of which I use for moving files between the various computers (and sometimes musical instruments...). However, I've a small network at my home-office, so sometimes my computes are connected ...

Just to add a funny note to the mad neo-Italian keyboard: when exchanging the layout, the designers left the symbol of the Italian Lira currency in the second position. This currency is now history, but is still silkscreened in the new keyboards. At the same time, reaching the Euro symbol is still a...

Timotheus, ...and it all works perfectly. Isn't it just a question of getting accostumed to a different routine? Sure, it works perfectly - in the sense that you can have the work done, in a way or the other. Simply, the original Italian layout is more comfortable than the modified US one we are usi...

Re: Scrivener on Tiger now and forever

Maria, Paolo, this information makes me feel upset. Does the Italian user community not react, writing to Apple? At the time, several of us protested, but I don't know of any official answer from Apple. There is no hope to have the ISO keyboard back, since most Apple users, in Italy, do prefer to ha...
