Re: [JH] Scriptwriting Mode

I disagree. For me (and I think the majority of working screenwriters), page breaks and accurate page counts are absolutely necessary. And that is exactly why I wrote: Some will disagree about the last one - the ideal writing environment is obviously not the same for everyone. If you want page brea...

Re: [JH] Scriptwriting Mode

First off, every time I try to change the Script Settings, Scrivener crashes so it's been a bit hard to test. I think the extra "margin" you mentioned doesn't factor into this since it's not a compiling / printing problem but a view problem in the editor. I tried to change the Script Setti...

Re: Scriptwriting Mode

We're talking about the buggy way the text is wrapping on the right edge, yes? I was actually also talking Indent, Line length and Spacing, but I've been playing in the settings and I think I can change that. I assume the stable version will come with the standard screenplay measures as default, ri...

Re: Scriptwriting Mode

I don't think it's an import Fountain problem because it also happens when writing a screenplay from scratch. The "fixed width editor" is on, the box is checked. I was not using "Page View". That's how my normal view looks like. Wasn't it supposed to look like that? Here goes the...

[LH543/LH846] Scriptwriting Mode

The Script Mode is still in development, right?

I tried to import a script from Fountain and even write a scene from a blank script and the format doesn't look right.

Thanks, that works :)

Well... mine doesn't even change colors when I change the label. At least by default. Did you tweak any setting to get it to do this?

Re: upgradeing to Windows 10 ?

I've been using Windows 10 since it came out and have had no problems that Windows 7 didn't have.

Just beware of high DPI monitors.

Enjoy Windows 10, it's much better than 7.

Re: Screenplay compile to .fdx page length

It's a bit weird that the contest asks specifically for the FDX file, normally they ask PDF. I don't know if it's the same, but what you can do is: 1) Write in Scrivener 2) Export to FDX 3) Import to WriterDuet (it's free) In WriterDuet, you can export to a PDF with the correct measurements which Sc...

Re: Scrivener on High Resolution Display

In this forum: High DPI Question Screenwritting font and spacing It's not a new problem. Per Scrivener Support: Because it is built on an older Qt framework that has no HiDPI awareness, Scrivener 1.x is unable to fully support high-resolution monitors. The next major version of Scrivener, currently ...

Re: High DPI Question

Hey. I have the same problem. Last time I asked, they told me this issue would only be fixed in Scrivener 3.0 (the Windows version will skip 2.0 so both versions have the same number). I worked around the problem by using a lower resolution (my screen supports 3200x1800 and I use 1600x900). Works we...

You're not alone.

I have a 3200x1800 monitor which I use in a 1600x900 resolution exclusively so I can use Scrivener but while normal writing is doable, the screenplay problem persists.
