Re: Is it possible to pop out a file into a second window?

Main Menu, Navigate, Open Quick Reference, (navigate through your folder structure to the document you want on your second monitor). The quick reference will open in the primary screen, but I successfully moved it to my second screen. In order to do this without snags, I have to turn off Windows sna...

Re: BUG. Inconsistent small caps.

Still an issue in RC5, including the inconsistency. Yesterday I was thinking "oh, they fixed it"; today, it's back. In RC9, I'm noticing it seems to at least be more consistent. Text size is still not right, but it's consistent, at least for the projects I've looked at so far. And if I've...

Re: Unusual title prefix

I think finding the level can be done with regex, but it's a relatively complicated expression using multiple if statements. 5 periods, you're at level 6. no periods, you're at level 1. After a test, I discovered something. Replacements follows Section Layouts in the Compile order. This is the only ...

Discovered something else. If you specifically select the line item before you click the Title checkbox for the line, it doesn't duplicate.

Re: Unusual title prefix

I currently use <#hn>. for the title prefix for my manuscript to produce level numbering in the format 1.1.1.1. My publisher requires me to use a format, Hn, where n is the level of the heading, in this case H4. Is there an easy way to do that in Scrivener? If not, could I apply a regex like (\d\.?...

Re: Proper way to update/reinstall Scrivener 3 beta

Hey all, I had installed and used S3 earlier this year to do the final formatting of a prior project, and now have another 1.9 project that's ready for formatting. It used to say you should de-install and reinstall. And when I went to de-install, I found four different "versions" of S3 in...

Re: Turn off status bar popup

My solution is to slide the pointer over into the inspector column. Usually I've got the notes field over there, and it likely won't pop anything up on me. Particularly if it's a blank line. Sometimes the comments column is there, and it's usually blank.

Re: RC9 (2.9.9.9) - Bug of the view and layout settings.

Scrivener does nto save all settings with "save options." I believe "save options" only saves those things that can be set or unset in the Options Dialog box (file -> Options). It does not save things like "Use label color in... Binder". However, Scrivener should save i...

Re: Synopsis image description toggle

Verified. On opening, when the text synopsis is showing, the icon in the corner is an image. Click the image, and it doesn't change, but the synopsis changes to an image target dialog. Click the image box, then, and the icon changes to text and the synopsis changes to text. Here's a shot of the init...

Re: [BUG] Not creating compiled file

I can't reproduce this problem, unfortunately. I'm not sure of anything that will cause "no output." Even though no section layouts were assigned, there are defaults. I found a Compile profile where I hadn't assigned layouts, and the scene compiled. I opened the output file and it was fine...

Re: My Windows Beta 3 expired aug 15,

can't find latest version. Does anyone know where the latest update is? Or are no downloads available? And if so, will there be another one? The lack of communication on this project is frustrating. Now I'm regretting writing in Beta 3, though I mostly pasted into v.1.9, I'm a couple days not backe...

Re: RC9 Bug: When spaces between paragraphs turn to 0

I can force that, but I can't tell you what triggers it. If you go into the line spacing dialog, and you set Line spacing to EXACTLY 1.00 pts (or perhaps a little higher)... You'll get something akin to that. Scriv_squishedlines.JPG Scriv will NOT retain the settings in the list, either. Not sure wh...

Re: Error message in Scrivener; cannot read an external sync RTF file.

Happened again. Last time I exited Scrivener, Scrivener showed that same error about not being able to parse a particular file in an External folder. This folder is my sync folder, and I had just, that session, made a number of changes to my project (added subdividing folders, rearranged a few thing...
