I so agree! It is nice to see the full screen concept become an integrated tool, rather than simply an exclusion concept.

UI : minor : About screen does not dismiss

"About Scrivener" dialogue does not go away until you switch to another application and come back.

Keyboard shortcuts

Is there a cheatsheet somewhere that has all of the keyboard shortcuts? Two that I am looking for in particular are to jump between Binder and the viewer; and second, to jump between splits. Also, the ability to get to the Notes pane and then back to the main editor viewer would be handy. So, three ...

Confirmed, and it does seem to lose the preference in a single session. I just had it happen, but it does not happen immediately, oddly enough. I was just going to file a related bug, so I'll do that here: After setting up the width of columns, if you open the Inspector pane, it moves everything ove...

UI : medium : Show Snapshots gets jammed under certain...

Here is how to reproduce it: 1) Select a document with a Snapshot, or make one. 2) Select "Show Snapshots" from the Snapshot menu. 3) Double-click on the date and type something at random that is not a date. 4) Confirm name change by clicking outside of the field, or pressing enter. 5) Dis...

It took me a minute to understand what you were doing here. I was thinking you were splitting and then making an annotation and so forth -- which would not really solve anything! But I think I see what you are saying, you are putting the annotation in the Notes field, and splitting so that you have ...

Alt/Opt drag helper

I like how I can hold down the Option key when dragging items to restrain it to re-ordering rather than demoting. That is a task that is frequently obnoxious to do, even in robust, full featured outliners. How about some more of that magic when dragging a document into the viewer pane. Currently, to...

UI : minor : Date compression in Outliner

This might be a wish-list thing, depending on how hard it is to implement, but a lot of apps compress the date down to shorter formats when the column it is presented within is shrunk. See the way Finder works as an example. Outliner's Modified Date column does not effect the presentation, and inste...

Confirmed the first part. 1) I selected Step 8 in Binder. 2) Converted selected to default via Edit menu 3) Clicked Step 9, went back to Step 8 to confirm font change. 4) Closed tutorial; re-opened it; and Step 8 came up with the original font. So I tried doing a forced save after step 2. Same resul...

You caught me! Of course, one does get spoiled on fantastic local beers when living in this city. But, I haven't always lived here, so my overall opinion is a little jaded. You'll have to pardon my prejudices. ;) I'll still take a Samuel Smith oatmeal stout over anything local.

Re: six points

I then switched the left pane stuff in and out of OUTLINE and CORKBOARD. This is pretty much the same setup that I've been gravitating towards as well. Essentially, I am replicating to a degree what SG had. I leave the horizontal split open, and the Outliner view in the top, precisely where the Tab...

1) Yes, that is what would make sense to me. You double-click on a document, it opens. If it is a group-based document it (opens) shows the children in Corkboard. The only time it would open a document and actually switch the pane is if it is something without contents beneath it. I meant to express...

UI : minor : Missed state save in Outliner

If am doing some investigation and sorting in Outliner, and have a lot of different groups un-collapsed, when I press Cmd-1 to check out some text, and then Cmd-1 again to go back to Outliner, all of these states are lost.

Interaction between Binder, Corkboard, and Outliner

There are a few situations in the current UI that feel just a bit awkward, in my opinion. First I'll address the consistency of double-clicking. In the Corkboard, and most of the Mac world, double-clicking on an icon either opens the item it represents, or toggles the state of its function in whatev...
