Re: Inability to see bottom of application

Well, Yippee! :D

I know it's a minor thing, but it's actually the ONLY bug that ever caused me a problem. Well, that a the old one with chunks of imported texts sometimes being invisible, but that was fixed long, long ago.

Off to DL the newest.

Re: Inability to see bottom of application

I didn't see this listed in the "bugs squashed" list for 2.1  It seems (to this non-programmer) that changing the lenght of the Inspector window is a minor thing, but this bug has been reported for every single Beta versions....and yet it hangs in there. (Yes, I'm one of those weirdos...

Re: rescuing offscreen scrivener windows

This bug has been known since way back -- the very first beta release, I believe. They narrowed the problem down to the default length of the inspector being longer than many screens allow for. I guess fixing it hasn't gotten to the top of the list yet. :( Possibly most people write in the full scre...

Re: How to download Beta 1.8

I'm using W7 64 Home. Since I'm on dialup at home, I downloaded v1.7 at work. Last night I uninstalled 1.6, installed 1.7, then tried the update. As others have posted, nothing happened. Following the OP's tip, I manually started the .exe under \liveupdates. I groaned a bit when I got the news that ...

Re: Cursor Disappeared... bug?[NOTED]

Alternate 'cure' for the invisible cursor problem: if you go to Edit/Options/Editor and check the box for 'block cursor' the 'normal' thin line cursor appears. Doing this just once seems to be enough -- at least the cursor appears after exiting and re-entering the program. OTOH, you don't actually g...

Re: 2nd NOV - LEE'S DAILY UPDATE

Like everyone else, I worry about your working yourself to death. Step away from the keyboard sometimes, eh? Eat, drink, sleep, kiss the wife and pat the dog. What I mostly want to say is THANK YOU for having evidently nailed THE most important aspect of writing software: PRESERVING OUR WRITING. For...

Re: Has "typed into Scrivener" text ever vanished on anyone?

Thanks for the answer, even if I was hoping for a different one. Ah, well. As long as the invisible words are really there AND they show up in the word count, I guess that's okay. Well, that and they have to show in the 'submit for verification' file, but I'm sure they'll squash this bug befor...

Has "typed into Scrivener" text ever vanished? [NOTED]

I'm sure the vanishing/reappearing text bug will be fixed soon, but in the meantime, and with November 1st looming ever larger....

This bug only affects previously created text, right? Stuff that was imported or cut&pasted?

So what we created IN Scrivener won't mysteriously vanish, right?

Occasional problem changing focus file in splitwindow[NOTED]

This isn't a very useful bug report because it doesn't happen consistently and I haven't figured out a pattern but just in case: I'm editing an existing text. Each scene was in its own file .rtf file. One at a time I opened them in RoughDraft, then used ^A and ^C and ^V to move the scenes into Scive...

Re: Cannot vertically resize non-maximized Scrivener window

Yes, the Inspector was open! After closing it, I was able to resize the window vertically. Which is at least a workaround to let me see the word counts. Thank you! :) Then I experiment some more and found another weirdness: With the Inspector open, and the Scrivener window non-maximized, and the bot...

Cannot vertically resize non-max Scriv window[BUG LOGGED]

Running W7, current screen resolution: 1366 X 768. (Yeah, strange, but that's the recommended dimensions.) When scrivener is in a non-maximized window I am unable to change the vertical size of the window. If I pause the mouse on a side border I get the two-headed arrow and can drag the border left/...

Oh, okay, that's fine. I can wait, I just wondered if I was overlooking an existing way of doing it.

Thanks for creating this wonderful program. :D

Re: Show Pins, Return to Place in Doc, Doc Merge

In the Mac tutorial, it mentions 'tinting' the entire card as a option vs. having the colored pin. Is this something that will be eventually added to the win version? Hope so!

Qs on using Binder to rearrange scenes

Still loving the program. I stayed up past 2 a.m. playing with it. And I'm getting much accomplished! :D But I am having a bit of trouble using the Binder, and wonder if I'm missing an easy solution: First, is there a way to create a new CHILD folder/file? So far I've been creating a sibling file (c...

Re: Initial Impressions Very Favorable

So far I've noticed a fair number of discrepancies in the tutorial (between what it says you should see and what you actually see), but none of them kept me from understanding what to do. And as for the features that are not yet working? None of them sound at all important to what I want to use the ...
