Re: 3.1.5 for MacOS has binder with a strange area on Japanese language setting

Great, glad it's fixed now! This was a crazy bug that I still scratch my head over. I thought I had it fixed in 3.2, but didn't. It turns out that Apple's tool for creating UI files in other languages was corrupting the sizing in the Japanese UI file. I had to fix up the sizing in code, which seems ...

Customer Support Closing Dates for Christmas 2020

Hello all, As usual, Literature & Latte will be closing over the Christmas holidays. We're a small team but we believe it's important that our hard-working staff take a break over Christmas to spend with friends and family (at least as much as socialising is possible this year). Literature &...

Re: Footnote Numbers Not Superscripted in .docx in 3.2.1

I've fixed this bug for 3.2.2, which will be out before the end of next week. (The new converter originally started life in our iOS version, and it turns out that there's a difference between the "superscript" attribute on iOS and macOS which caused the problem.) Thanks and all the best, K...

Re: Better table support

Another minor problem: Importing Microsoft Word files seems to be available straight off, but so far (I cannot as yet see how) all pages files are not importable immediately or in the same way. An assumption on my part that it should be available. Microsoft publishes its .docx file format (http://o...

Re: Scrivener Won't Open

Indeed - this build is just 3.2.1 with this fix and a couple of other minor fixes. Once I've confirmed this fix is addressing the main issues users are running into, it will be released as 3.2.2. It's perfectly safe to continue using.

All the best,
Keith

Re: Scrivener Won't Open

Same issue here. Had original file on a MacBook Air upgraded to Big Sur. But can no longer open it. Keeps on quitting. Tried opening on a Mac still running Catalina. No success. As if the file that quit on Big Sur got corrupted. Have tried accessing back up files from Catalina desktop. No cigar. FY...

Re: Apple M1 Processor

Thank you for your reply. I am left to assume that "has been tested" means that they'd encountered no issues? Yes. The most recent version (3.2.x) added full Apple Silicon support - in other words, it runs natively on Silicon (M1) machines and not under Rosetta. It's been tested on a deve...

Re: Bug: Instacrash after 3.2 upgrade

Perhaps this is utterly unrelated, but I upgraded to 3.2 in the last hour (since KB's post above), and have experienced two crashes since. Prior to that I can't recall the last time Scrivener crashed on me. Have submitted two reports using the automated crash reporter, hope they're helpful. The cra...

Re: Okay... so how DO I install Java?

That's strange. I installed Java and Scrivener recognises it. You're not using the MAS version, are you? It shouldn't make a difference, but who knows?

Re: The current line I'm editing defaults to the screen centre

Just tested this and it's working so far. You have no idea how much frustration this has caused over the years, so I'm delighted it's now behaving as I would expect. I'm still hesitant because I'm so used to waiting for the moment for it to... suddenly jump. Yeah, I'm not 100% confident of the fix ...

Great, thanks for testing, and thanks for sending the file so that I could fix it.
