Re: Open same project twice?

Thank you very much Katherine.

(main Binder, Split A, and Split B)

Sorry, I am not quite sure, does it mean I can split Binder?

Many thanks again

Open same project twice?

Can one open the same project twice to, for example, more easily copy / move items within the Binder or copy / move / exchange text?

Using labels, statuses, keywords meta tags, Custom Meta-Data or else?

In Scrivener one can use these kind of categories (if one could call it like that), if I see it right: Label Status Keywords meta tags Custom Meta-Data Are there still more? Are those categories the same like keywords, respectively do they all use keywords, so is "meta data" the same like ...

Re: Serch for 2 or more labels / statuses?

Thank you very much.

Yes, indeed, it appears exactly to do what I want, great.

No, no, of course no reason for apologies. I am very happy it is working.

Many thanks again

Re: Serch for 2 or more labels / statuses?

Many thanks brookter. The best I could come up with was to create a new Collection manually (LABEL A + B), then search on Label A and add the results to it, then do the same with a search for Label B. This works, but the downside is that the Label A + B collection isn't 'smart' and won't update when...

Serch for 2 or more labels / statuses?

Can one search for two labels (and / or status) or more at the same time? For example, show all of the documents which have the label "label1" and "label2" (and "label3")?

Re: How to handle different variations of an expression?

Many thanks, brookter, also for the screenshots.

So just the same / similar like using the meta tags, labels and such. But used for the comments / annotations by just placing a string, word, etc. somewhere within them. Yes, a very good idea.

Thank you very much again

Re: How to handle different variations of an expression?

Thank you, Ahab. Write them where it makes sense--in the same line or under it--using Inline Annotations. I had tried to use annotations in Word, OpenOffice or so, but somehow I couldn't cope with them. Yes, may be I should try again with Scrivener, actually they appear to work fine. Two question ma...

How to handle different variations of an expression?

Suppose one has different ideas, formulations, concepts, phrases for the same formulation, concept, phrase in a paragraph, page, sentence, so for example a single sentence has 5 different variations. How could one manage, organize them? How display them? Could one use a special formatting to display...

Re: Colorize elements in Binder?

Thank you very much, Linus. Colorize Binder: Set up Labels in Meta Data Settings and assign colors. Then assign those labels to Binder elements as you see fit. Select "View/Use Label color in" and select Icons and/or Binder (use F5 / F6 alternatively). This will colorize Binder elements (s...
