Re: How do I share style presets between computers?

I'm at a loss. Please clog the post with detailed instructions. Don. No problem... To share the styles.plist between Macs: Let's assume you have a folder in Dropbox called Scrivener which you will use to share files between your Macs. In Finder, go to your Library folder. (If it's not visible, hold...

Re: How do I share style presets between computers?

Rather than clog the post with more instructions when you may already know how to do this, please ask if you want to know more :) .

Import/export .plist files between projects on Mac

I lost my "styles" when moving from my project in the Win version to the Mac version (sync through Dropbox). I do have another project on the Mac, though that has the styles I want. Is there some way to copy a .plist file used in one project to another? If so (step by step, please) which ....

Re: About Scrivener 3

I use all three versions of scrivener (Win, Mac, IOS) Will there be any kind of discount if I purchase all three versions when they're released?

Re: Auto-split word documents imported into Scrivener IOS

Thanks, Keith. That'll work. Better than a push mower but definitely no John Deere. I wish I had the skill to write a program or automation that would Do a project search Recognize each document (Scrivener manuscript text file) where the search term is found Mark and count each separate document in ...

Auto-split word documents imported into Scrivener IOS

I know it's not currently possible to do a global search and replace currently in Scrivener IOS. Bummer if you're into your project and suddenly want to change a name, but I understand it's an IOS issue. So, I'm stil thinking of work-around. I thought if I could compile the project and export it to ...

Losing formatting from IOS to Windows

After writing in Scrivenr IOS, syncing in Dropbox, then exiting Scrivener for IOS, I open my project in Scrivener Windows version.
The formatting is lost.
Any way to seamlessly retain the formatting from one version to the other?

Cross-Platform styles

Dear Santa, I use Scrivener for Windows when I'm downstairs and Scrivener for MacOS upstairs and Scrivener IOS when I'm anywhere else. Obviously can't be without my Scrivener. I heard you're going to implement real styles across platforms in an upcoming rev. Any idea when? Any good workaround until ...

Copy select folders from one project to a different one in IOS

I'm breaking up my novel into two volumes and need to copy a number of folders (for characters, places, other notes) from one project (Volume 1) to another (Volume 2). I suppose I can simply save my first project under a new name and then delete the manuscript folder structure, keeping only the fold...

Re: Styles won't copy when syncing IOS back to Mac

Hmmmm, Amber, After deciphering your reply (thanks), I'm thinking the problem began when when I started my project a long time ago and chose to save it in a dropbox folder with the name of my project and NOT the APP folder. When I synced files on my iPad Pro, I noticed that the the only presets that...

Styles won't copy when syncing IOS back to Mac

When I created "styles" on my mac version and synced to dropbox for the IOS version on my iPad Pro, I was able to export the style formatting and create the .plst xml file that mapped to my project in IOS. However, when I synced the IOS project and then chose to continue working on it on t...

Modify an existing style

I realize that styles in Scfrivener aren't intended to map to styles in a word document but it would.be a good idea to have the ability to redefine an existing style (preset) and still keep the name, so, even if I go back manually, I'll know to re-format certain text and do it consistently.

Re: Split Editor view in Scrivener IOS?

Thanks Amber. Not what I thought it would be having been used to Scrivener for the Mac, but it works great and that's the only thing that counts.

Hope it gets documented more fully as the help and documentation for the product matures. Really enjoying using Scrivener iOS.

Split Editor view in Scrivener IOS?

Is there a Split Editor view in Scrivener IOS?
I'd like to view two documents in my project at the same time.
Note: I'm not referring to the Apple's iPad Pro split screen feature here.
