Re: Show in Binder from search results

There is a "reveal in binder" option if you right click the document in the binder (when it's showing search results). It does refresh the binder with the normal view, highlighting the document you'd selected. Is this what you're looking for? (Also available via View>Reveal in Binder or op...

Re: Typerwriter Scrolling in Outliner

Thanks. Sorry to have misplaced it. I couldn't decide whether it ought to be wishlist or a question, since I thought maybe someone would have a workaround to suggest, and I didn't want to come banging down Keith's door with demands so soon after registering on the forum. If I offer to bake and send ...

Typerwriter Scrolling in Outliner

I’m in the middle of having an outliner epiphany, and it is so good. I just started jotting some initial notes for a project (one that’s supposed to be back burner, and therefore of course is of worlds more interest than all the ones I ought to be working on) and using the outliner view to do it—sho...

Re: scratch pad

Someone with much more experience may come along and correct me, but since I'm here procrastinating I figured I'd respond. The Scratch Pad works on a project level, so you just have one per project, though you can use the dropdown box at the bottom (showing "Destination") to create a new d...

Re: Best Practice Using Image PDFs?

Yay, I found a bug and it's already been fixed! Don't you feel productive? So 2.0 is coming out in a few months, right? ;) Meanwhile, I'll just create all my documents before I start working with the references. Or--gasp--remember what it is I'm looking at. (Mmm, nah, that sounds much harder...) Tha...

Re: Word count status bar disappeared???

Did you accidentally switch to scriptwriting mode? In scriptwriting you can get different footer views that would show what I think you're seeing. Go to Text>Scriptwriting and if there's a checkmark next to "Script Mode" at the top, just click it and it will put you back to regular text. C...

Re: Best Practice Using Image PDFs?

Thanks for your quick replies! Paul: Yes, I thought I’d probably need a more dedicated program to really do anything classier than the arrangement I described above. Unfortunately I don’t think this project justifies buying anything new at the moment (maybe it will turn into something huge and wonde...

Re: How to Refresh Tutorial

Ooh, hey, I can answer this one! Just delete the copy of the tutorial on your hard drive. When you first opened the tutorial, it prompted you to save it somewhere (probably in your Documents folder, though I'm not sure, since I've changed stuff around for mine); the default filename is just Tutorial...

Best Practice Using Image PDFs?

Hi all, I’m jumping on the Scrivener bandwagon terribly late, given that I switched to a Mac almost three years ago. Nanowrimo and Script Frenzy brought it to my attention, though, and having played around with a couple fiction projects and a script, I’ve now gone ahead and bought it and raved about...
