Re: Cannot save

Thanks a lot for answering this! I will free up some space. I have a 256 GB SSD disc, but the C partition is only 95 GB (It was a mistake to make it so small), so well, I have about 10 percent free, but I probably need more. I save every 2 seconds, and no, it doesn't appear all the time. So if under...

Cannot save

This dialogue box appears now and then when I'm writing. I do have free space on my computer, although not terribly much, 9 GB, but I guess it should be enough. When it appears I click OK, and haven't noticed that I've lost any work (touch wood). I save my project in Dropbox. Should I do something a...

Re: Question about No Style

In Mac Scrivener, the command is Documents -> Convert -> Formatting to Default Text Style. The Paste and Match Style command is also useful for newly imported text. Katherine Thank you, Katherine! "Formatting to default...." was the way I did it, finally, and it works well.. Just out of c...

Re: Question about No Style

So, what is the proper way to do it then, if I have a chunk of text and want to convert it to default formatting, without having to go through font, font size, indents, line spacing ecc every time? This is not a great problem for me, but I am curious to know how it is supposed to work. I don't use s...

Cut off sentance in dialogue box

In the dialogue box "Convert text to default formatting" it says: "This action cannot be". I suppose there is an "undone" missing.

Re: Question about No Style

I add a small bug report to that: In the dialogue box "Convert text to default formatting" it says: "This action cannot be". I suppose there is an "undone" missing.

Re: Question about No Style

Well, now I found it myself: The option to convert to default formatting is still there, under "document" and it didn't undo the italics. I thought this issue would be connected to Styles in some way, but clearly it isn't, as what you wrote suggested.

Re: Question about No Style

Thanks, that is a good idea if a lot of text is wrong throughout the manuscript. However I don't want to do that every time I for instance cut and paste from another document and get the wrong format, as I want to change not only font, but font size, line spacing and indentations. All those things I...

Re: Question about No Style

Thank you both! I try that next time, to change into another style and then back. Good point, No style isn't a style. The confusing thing is that clicking on No Style actually does change some properties of the text, but not all. In 1.9 I often used Convert formatting to default text style. Which so...

Question about No Style

If I understood right, it is recommended to use No Style for the normal, body text. But if I have a piece of text with incorrect formatting, how do I change that to No Style? It is already marked No Style, and if I click on No Style again some properties change, and others don't. The type seems to c...

Re: lock binder order to prevent accidental reordering

+1 for this, or for undo moving items. (I just accidentally moved a lot of scenes to trash, and don't know their exact original position. Ok, it was clumsy... but I can't guarantee it won't happen again... :-))

[LH3575] Space between paragraphs

I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I can't get the line spacing right. I want 1.5 spacing throughout the text, and no extra space between paragraphs. When I try to do that it still looks like this: Radavstånd.png The text within each paragraph looks as I want it, but there seems to be d...

Re: Tiny icons...

On my screen, some of the icons are nearly as tall as the main toolbar (at default height). In her screenshot, they appear to be maybe half that. Also, the icons do not change size with toolbar height. If I shrink the Main Toolbar to 20 points (the smallest Scriv will allow), the icon frames are si...

Re: Tiny icons...

The problem seems to be that Qt does not detect and use the proper resolution for your monitor, guys. As a result the icons that you see are not the sizes we designed them to be. Compare the icon size with the menu text and you will see the big difference in proportions. Qt claims that this has bee...
