Turning off External Folder Sync

Hi I checked in the Dropbox thread, but this doesn't seem to be covered... Is there an easy way to totally disable External Folder Sync once it's set up? I've been doing some syncing between Scrivener and Notebooks, but now I'm working in Scrivener alone and want to make 100% sure that I can't accid...

Re: Notebooks and...?

Thanks for the tips. It looks like Notability is my best option for now - and it's on 80% discount this week! :)

Notebooks and...?

I have some project notes that I'd like to sync between my Mac and my iPad/iPhone - originally in Circus Ponies Notebook, but I don't really like the interface. I've tried Evernote, but its lack of nested documents annoys me, as does the subscription model for offline mobile access. I already have S...

Re: Page breaks again: 2.0 -> RTF

Thanks, I'll give it a try (temporarily solved my problem the hard way, by manually removing the line breaks, so I could get on with editing) :)

Page breaks again: 2.0 -> RTF

Hi Keith I'm seeing some unexpected behaviour when exporting synopses as RTF then opening in TextEdit. What I'm trying to get is a full synopsis with chapter breaks (e.g. marked by #) but preferably no chapter headings - my scenes are in one folder per chapter. I've tried the following in the Compos...

Re: Index Card for iPad

Hi Den I thought you'd like to know that your app (and its ability to sync with Scrivener 2.0) was one of the deciding factors in my buying an iPad a few days ago - Index Card looks gorgeous and is already proving a cornerstone of my NaNoWriMo 2010 preparations! I don't know if this is the right pla...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

[quote="AmberV"] But, for anyone wanting purely to stay informed on the latest news, we do have a newsletter which you can sign up for on the trial info page, or from within the Scrivener application. In the Help menu, select "Keep up to date...". The newsletter is extremely low ...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

Hear, hear! No offence, guys, but it's really frustrating coming here to try and find the latest news on the new version, only to have to wade through pages and pages of banter. IMVHO this thread should be renamed "How excited are you about Scrivener 2.0?" and the mods should create a new ...

Re: more columns please.

I found this old thread whilst searching the forums, and I wondered if any of the suggestions were going to make it into version 2? The book I'm writing at the moment has a tight timeline, and I'd like to be able to see at a glance when each scene is set. At the moment I put this in the synopsis, bu...

Re: Aeon Timeline Version 0.3.1 (Story Arc View Beta)

Hi Matt I've come across a bug in the Label/Story Arc code: Having only just downloaded 0.3.1, I started off by using different coloured Labels for different story arcs in a new project, as I had done previously. Then I realised that Story Arcs were working (the PDF manual said they weren't implemen...

Re: Scrivener Integration

TBH, I think that all I want in the short term would be something similar to Scrivener's 'Compile Draft' screen, where you can select individual events to export to a format that can then be imported into Scrivener as a series of documents (with synopses filled in, as you describe).

Re: Aeon Timeline Version 0.3.1 (Story Arc View Beta)

Hi I've just upgraded to the latest Timeline, and I'm looking forward to playing with the new Story Arc feature, as I am engaged in revising the plot of my novel. One question I have is if you have a timescale for customisable calendars? I'm writing an historical novel about a period before the swit...
