Huh? Is the Linux native version not working for you at all? I use it almost exclusively.

Re: Latest Linux deb or tar

Hello! Could someone please post the link to the most recent deb or tar? It seems there is no single page where these are listed... Thanks See the post at: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=15931 As for the upcoming one, Lee is hard at work on it, and that's probably ...

Re: tutorial: "Cannot access: '/usr/share"

Probably my bad on that, if you installed it from the deb. I'm kind of a newbie at making installation packages. Although I DID get the name generator to work for Linux a couple of versions ago, that was pretty much a no-brainer that I should have figured out when I first started building them. As f...

(And Lee is still working technomancy with the tarball, and thanks, glad you like the story, and it's great to see followers of Bob getting along so well with us Pastafarians. RAmen!)

Re: .deb package stuff

I have figured out how to make it happen automagically with the deb file. I was noticing the problem with templates. It would also be good to get the tutorial working right (I have an couple ideas to test on that one). David In communication with Lee this very minute on the latest tarball. Should k...

Re: .deb package stuff

I'm another user of scrivener on ubuntu 10.10. It's working fine. Thanks for this contribution. I've got the icon to display as follows. Right click on Applications in ubuntu top bar. Edit Menus. Click on OpenOffice under Applications. Right click on scrivener. Left click on Properties. Left click ...

Re: .deb package stuff

I just started using the Linux version of this (my primary writing tool is my linux based laptop (Ubuntu 11.10)) Rob, Is there a place where you have your files to take a look at what you have. I haven't done an ubuntu/debian deb for a few years, but another set of eyes might be helpful. Works good...

Re: Scrivener b29 tarfile available

The download link at the beginning of this thread doesn't work. The file doesn't exist. Is there another place to download the tar file for the latest beta for linux? I am using the 1.0.1 beta from RobHamm's deb file. But want to be play some with the latest version. I think I saw somewhere that it...

.deb package stuff

I've had the 1.0.3 binaries for a while now, but I was having a bit of trouble with just a couple of issues, and before I could address them, it appears that the fates hit Ctrl + Alt + Explode, because my life kind of blew up. Duct-taping and super-gluing it back together, and will try to get the ne...

Re: Beta 101 DEB NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

Instructions to install on 64-bit systems are at viewtopic.php?f=33&t=15895#p112150

But I should just make a post about it so it's easier to find.

Sorrry--I don't know what I did differently with the last few packages I built, but I, too, have been having to add the icon manually.

Re: An interesting problem with Wine & product registration

Eep! See, I go away for a while, and not only do new problems arise, they get fixed. Damages a guy's ego, y'know? ;-) Yeah, I'm setting up WINE right now (Been distro-hopping.), but yeah, I noticed that the last time I updated it, all the fonts--even the MS fonts I installed via winetricks--looked l...

Re: An interesting problem with Wine & product registration

Are you on DSL? Nope. (Semi)City-wide blanket wi-fi. And I'm using WINE 1.3.32 on Natty 64-bit with Gnome 2 Panels. Given the small number of users reporting the issue, and that it's on both WINE and Windows (http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=15885&p=111944&hi...

Re: An interesting problem with Wine & product registration

+1 to garpu's suggestion on trying another network as part of the troubleshooting chain. For that matter, I know there must be a way to see what port it's trying to access, to determine whether a hole needs poked in the firewall, or if perhaps a port needs forwarded from the router. I am, alas, not ...
