Re: Saving

If the titlebar text has an asterisk symbol at the end, the latest project changes are not saved. If the asterisk symbol is missing, everything is already saved.

Re: RC18 - Export tool does not take envery characters

When you select "Do not show this dialog again" your current selection will be saved for future use without a prompt. Having this available in the Options is also something we think about, but not in our priority list at the moment,

The encoding prompt is available when you export to MMD too. Make sure you reset your warnings (File > Options > Warnings), in case you have previously stored your preferred encoding.

Re: Python error when using Scrivener

Scrivener is not using Python at all. There must be something else interfering with your computer and Scrivener project location probably.

Re: RC18 Downloading from website

Thanks for pointing this out, tfontoura. For some reason the x64 full installer is not properly signed as you have noticed. The automatic update installer is signed properly. We will update the full installer. Meanwhile using the not fully signed installer and ignoring the warnings should be OK too.

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

Thank You, for your efforts tracing this guys! Most likely during the transition from Scrivener with Qt 5.12 to Qt 5.15 we have messed up some DLLs in the upgrade process and the uninstaller is not cleaning everything. We will check this further. For anyone having the crash on Help > Check for Updat...

Re: [ANY-VERSION] App performance discussion

Hi Matt, Scrivener does not load all project documents, but only the ones that you load in the editor, or load in Scrivenings view. This is the benefit of the Scrivener's project structure of having multiple documents in your project and not one big document. In your case the sluggishness comes most...

Re: A Valentine to the Devs: Typewriter Scrolling

Many Thanks for the Valentine letter, Anne!

Indeed typewriter scrolling is available in Scrivener for Windows v1, too but I doubt that you will want switch back, especially after playing with the v3 Options. Enjoy! :-)

Re: Quick search error

The Quick Search is not a document search and is not expected to highlight anything in the current editor. Quick Search searches the whole project and not only the main text. Mac also does not highlight any match within the editors. If you need to highlight your match in the current editor document ...

@the guys having the crash: The very important info is probably your network configuration. Is there anything unusual? What kind of network and Internet connection do you use?

Disconnect from the Internet and disable Auto Update in the File > Options.
The log file can be generated via running ScrivenerLog.bat as administrator. The log files are generated within the "logs" subfolder of the Scrivener installation.

Re: [LH4861] RC6: Error message trying to add separator to Mobi Ebook

:-( Sorry about that. We found it and fixed it too. There is missing '>' at the end of some ePub HTMLs.
Hope to release the new update soon with this hotfix. Thanks!
