Re: Scrivener on Linux: official release?

I wonder at the proportion of Linux users willing to pay for software. Most Linux distributions are free, and have repositories full of free software--they're used to having everything on their computer free of charge. There are some for-pay Linux applications, but they are the exception, rather th...

Re: Scrivener on Linux: official release?

Do a Google search for "Scrivener Linux". Surely there are enough of us out there to pay for the additional work it'd take... As I said in another post, according to the stats at w3schools.com, about 4.5% of web browsers detected by them are on Linux Oses. So a very rough guess would be 6...

Re: 13th FEB - LEE'S UPDATE

Oooooh. Did someone say "LaTeX?" :) That makes for very pretty papers. Don't worry about the linux crowd. I was planning on buying the windows version, anyway, when it went live. :) Do worry about the Linux crowd! We need Scrivener as well. It also makes good business sense since the Linu...

Native Linux release?

Hi, I know Literature and Latte will be releasing a windows version of scrivener this year, but are they planning a native Linux release (i.e fully functional not beta)? Or will Linux users have to run the windows version under wine?

I didn't get as far as trying to import a file, the dialogue box to import files doesn't come up.

Import Files (wine)

I have Scrivener 1.6 running under wine but the import files doesn't do anything, i.e. no dialogue box comes up to select files. However, the import web works fine. Is this a known bug or is something wrong with my installation?

Re: Beta 1.6 available

go to main menu options, from System/Administration. Browse to Office/Scrivener shortcut, right click on it, change application to application on terminal. Done! You can find more instructions here http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=10578&start=0 Thanks for the tip...

Re: Beta 1.6 available

Hi, I'm using Linux Mint (which is Ubuntu based). I downloaded and installed the deb package with no errors. However, nothing happens when I click the scriviner icon in the menu. Any ideas? What happens if you try to run it from the Terminal? catalinux, you're a genius, it works! You won't believe ...
